AMERICAN GENRE FILM ARCHIVE presents GRINDHOUSE AT THE BRATTLE

Between Friday June 11 and Wednesday June 16, the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) presents REVENGE OF THE GRINDHOUSE at the Brattle Theatre on Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass!

This genre-riffic series will feature a repertory selection of twelve super films from the AGFA collection, presented by our friend and estimable colleague Lars Nilsen, live and in person!

This is a RARE opportunity for you and your friends who live in the Boston/Cambridge area to experience the finest in genre film, hand-picked by one of the best programmers in the nation!

Films to be screened this Friday include Umberto Lenzi’s PARANOIA (1969), Joe D’Amato’s BLACK COBRA (1976), and Paul Nicolas’s CHAINED HEAT (1983). 

The extravaganza continues Saturday with Stephanie Rothman’s VELVET VAMPIRE (1971), Jean Rollin’s THRILL OF THE VAMPIRES (1970), and Jalil Jackson’s LADY TERMINATOR (1988). On Sunday, Paul Nicolas’s JULIE DARLING (1981) opens the night, with Jamaa Fanaka’s amazing EMMA MAE (1976). Monday starts with a repeat of Lenzi’s PARANOIA (1969), the Fernando DiLeo’s MR. SCARFACE (1976) and LOADED GUNS (1975). On Tuesday, the series repeats THRILL OF THE VAMPIRES, followed by James Hong’s TEEN LUST (1979) and Jerry Gross’s TEENAGE MOTHER (1967).
