Directly after the successes of his zero-budget early-’60s gorefests BLOOD FEAST and TWO THOUSAND MANIACS, H.G. Lewis turned in his first of several “Hee Haw”-style “likker” pictures.
Here, writer/composer Chuck Scott plays a C&W singer who heads back home to the hills of Carolina where he’s caught up in a feud between some homeboy moonshiners and “the Revenoores”. But of course, an H.G. Lewis movie wouldn’t be complete with a psycho killer character in the mix.
