THE KILLING KIND

Curtis Harrington, USA, 1973, Vinegar Syndrome, Horror

Acclaimed genre filmmaker Curtis Harrington (NIGHT TIDE, WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH HELEN?) was at his best when dissecting the minds of nutzoids, paranoids and psychos. A brooding study on the nurturing of a serial killer, THE KILLING KIND is one of Harrington’s most potent works.

Terry (John Savage, THE DEER HUNTER) is released from prison for a brutal assault in which he too was a victim. Returning home to his mother (Ann Sothern) and their boardinghouse, Terry is unable to cope with freedom and is uncertain about how to appease his ever-growing desire to harm those around him. Co-starring Cindy Williams (“Laverne & Shirley”) and lushly photographed by Mario Tosi (CARRIE).
