MURDEROUS INTENT

Len Anthony, USA, 1985, Vinegar Syndrome

Hellacious. Devastating. Takes all the rules, and eats them. Easily of the Top 10 Strangest Movies in AGFA’s catalogue. It's like Zulawski meets AFTER LAST SEASON. It's like a transmission from Mars. It's like if DANGEROUS MEN was an art film -- or a horror film -- or both -- or neither!

Jamaican-born, NYC-based director Len Anthony originally set out to make several films, but was never able to finish any of them. Natch, all the leftover footage was smashed together and MURDEROUS INTENT was born. Opening with an explosive Alvin Ailey-esque dance troupe number, you will never be able to predict where this movie is headed.

“As a washed-up, college-student-impregnating pedantic writer faces the meaninglessness of his existence in the face of his more successful wife, his white hot rage manifests itself as a murderous Rastafarian.” (Byram, Letterboxd)
