PHANTASM IV: OBLIVION

Don Coscarelli, USA, 1998, AGFA, Horror

“This is the part that gets quiet and spacy and inward and mystical and stuff, where people sit around fires and practice their time travel and telekinesis when not rebuilding engines or staring intently at the moon.” -- Nathaxanne Walker, Letterboxd

Back in 1979, writer/producer/director Don Coscarelli’s original cut of PHANTASM ran nearly three hours...and PHANTASM IV: OBLIVION melds the past and present by utilizing many original deleted scenes from this legendary production as flashbacks.

Taking off immediately where PHANTASM III ended, Mike (Michael Baldwin) travels across dimensions and time fleeing from the Tall Man. At the same time, he tries to find the origins of his enemy and what really happened the night that his brother died. Meanwhile, Reggie battles silver spheres and the undead in a quest to find Mike before the Tall Man can complete his transformation…
