DEVIL STORY

Bernard Launois, France, 1986, Vinegar Syndrome, Horror

“Abandons all normalcy.” — Joseph A. Ziemba, BLEEDING SKULL! A 1980s TRASH-HORROR ODYSSEY

One of the strangest horror films ever made in France, Bernard Launois’ DEVIL STORY is a mind-melting and indescribable gore-fueled hallucination. After their car breaks down, a couple decides to spend the night at a spooky castle. Despite being warned about the local legend of a cursed ship which crashed into the nearby cliffs, they venture into the wild, only to find themselves face-to-face with a Nazi mutant, a slime-mouthed mummy, and a horse possessed by the devil! Barely seen outside of its native country, but more than deserving of its growing cult following, DEVIL STORY has been newly restored in 4K from its original 35mm camera negative.
