DRIVE (1997)

A big discovery for fans of Jackie Chan-style mayhem and wild ensemble casts from the Nineties! Mark Dacascos (“Iron Chef”), Kadeem Hardison (“A Different World”) and Brittany Murphy (!!!) star in this Hong Kong-influenced action gorefest from Steve Yang (SFX artist on PREDATOR, THE MONSTER SQUAD). Plus, it’s twinged with a healthy amount of cyberpunk TERMINATOR-y nonsense. Every possible trope of the era is blenderized for your pleasure. At one point, a henchman’s arm (wielding a machine gun) is chainsawed off and continues to shoot while rotating in the air dismembered, eventually killing the guy!
