The first of two team-ups between Castle and emerging horror star Vincent Price, the story follows a group of people who are offered $10,000 by a millionaire (Price) if they can survive a night in a haunted house. During the film's initial release, Castle created one of his most unforgettable gimmicks—"Emergo," a full-sized, glow-in-the-dark skeleton that flew over the heads of moviegoers.
