Spiritual mumblecore godfather Jacques Rivette brings together two titanic onscreen icons -- Joe Dallesandro (TRASH, HEAT, FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN) and Maria Schneider (LAST TANGO IN PARIS, THE PASSENGER) -- for a wild, impossible road trip through the backroads of France.  Two strangers each receive a telegram concerning the same mysterious assignment in Paris which kicks off a kidnapping plot, paranoiac visions and other vagabond charms.
