This sleazy, slimy late-period Tobe Hooper jam is way better than anyone realizes, like an R-rated episode of "Goosebumps". Denise Crosby (PET SEMATARY) stars as a newly-widowed former mortician who moves her kids to rural California so she can set up a new business in a new town. Meanwhile, the son learns of local urban legend Bobby Fowler: deformed child of the former funeral home's owners. Things get nuts really quick, culminating in what one Letterboxd reviewer dubs "brainwashed Lovecraftian hellpit monster-worshipping fungus zombies"!
