MOTHER’S DAY

Charles Kaufman, USA, 1980, Troma, Horror

“The question . . . of why anybody of any age would possibly want to see this film remains without an answer.” - Roger Ebert

Loving sons always do what their mothers tell them to . . . even if it’s to KILL!! When three young women set out for a relaxing weekend retreat in the woods, they unwittingly stumble upon a sadistic band of backwoods yokels. Taken prisoner by the insane matriarch and her demented sons, the women are forced to fight back using anything they can get their hands on. Heads roll, blood spurts, and genitals are mutilated as they battle for their freedom! This golden age slasher balances satire with punk energy to create a truly disturbing portrait of backwoods madness.
