An actual contemporary American movie star in one of those Italian sharksploitation barnburners! Three-time Golden Globe nominee Treat Williams (PRINCE OF THE CITY, HAIR) takes the plunge in this bugnuts and oddly good-natured shark-laden action thriller. Life in a quiet Mexican fishing village is ripped to pieces when a laidback guide (Williams) and his business partner (blaxploitation legend Antonio Fargas) become entangled with international assassins, stolen diamonds and a local shark named Cyclops with an insatiable hunger for foolish divers. Sharksploitation doesn’t often climax in an all-out jungle war, which makes NIGHT OF THE SHARKS that much more fun.
