Right before his leap to Hollywood with BROKEN ARROW and FACE/OFF, John Woo united with three of Hong Kong’s most charismatic actors (Chow Yun-Fat, Cherie Chung, Leslie Cheung) for this rollicking heist comedy filled with Woo’s signature action. Our trio are international art thieves who grew up as orphaned Artful Dodgers on the streets of Hong Kong. Fresh from a successful French Riviera heist, they set their sights on one last gig: the theft of a painting so valuable it’s said to be cursed.
