THE DEMON RAT

Rubén Galindo Jr., Mexico, 1992, Vinegar Syndrome, Horror

Irina is in the middle of a messy divorce with her husband, Roberto, who has cunningly stolen the pharmaceutical company she was set to inherit. She's also dealing with a rat problem. A rat so large and bloodthirsty that it has mutilated her dog. Enlisting the help of her new love interest and biologist friend, Axel, they soon discover that Roberto has been wreaking havoc on the nearby wildlife by recklessly dumping nuclear waste to cut corners. Now Irina has to contend with the mutated rat in her home and her soon-to-be ex who will do anything to keep his secret. An apocalyptic vision of Mexico in the near future from genre legend Rubén Galindo Jr. (DON'T PANIC), THE DEMON RAT is an environmental nightmare like no other.
