Shot in the ‘70s for a short-lived cultural program meant to promote the traditional Welsh language in film, BLOOD ON THE STARS is a folk horror film that playfully blends VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED with THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES. Child choir conductor Shadrach Smith seeks to put his singers in the spotlight by eliminating the lineup of an upcoming concert. Lucky for him, his little angels are all too happy to help in his quest to turn them into stars by any means necessary. Welsh cinema has always been deserving of rediscovery, and there’s no better place to start than with the darkly hilarious BLOOD ON THE STARS.
