Directed by and starring pre-eminent Brucesploitation disciple Bruce Le, CHALLENGE OF THE TIGER starts off silly and jolts from one tense sequence to the next. A Spanish scientist develops a drug that causes sterility(!), only to have it fall into the hands of terrorists. It’s up to a pair of CIA agents to recover the secret formula before the bad guys hold hostage the genetic future of the human race. Total legend Bolo Yeung (BLOODSPORT, ENTER THE DRAGON) and macho mustached movie maurader Richard Harrison (Shaw Brothers’ MARCO POLO) also find their place amongst kung-fu bullfighting, abundant nudity and super-spy seduction.
