THE LAST ISLAND

Five men, two women, and a dog are the sole survivors of an airplane crash in the desert and may, in fact, be the only humans left alive after a global disaster. As conflicts immediately break out between the men over issues of sex and sexuality, the question arises: can the human race can survive, or will mankind destroy itself? The third film in an unconnected trilogy by Dutch feminist filmmaker Marleen Gorris (A QUESTION OF SILENCE, BROKEN MIRRORS), THE LAST SURVIVOR is a provocative and allegorical futuristic drama.
