Monty Python fans rejoice! Peter Medak’s frightfully funny THE ODD JOB is a rare glimpse of Graham Chapman as a leading man in a solo movie effort, filmed just prior to LIFE OF BRIAN. Chapman stars as happily married Arthur Harris, who becomes suicidal when his wife suddenly leaves him. Unable to complete the task himself, Arthur asks a bizarre handyman (Sir David Jason, in a role once intended for Keith Moon) to instead do the deed. But when the wife reappears, Arthur discovers his homicidal hire has every intention of finishing the job. Bill Paterson (“Fleabag”) and Richard O’Brien (THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW) co-star in this dark farce from director Medak, whose wild career included the anarchic THE RULING CLASS, the spooky ghost story THE CHANGELING and even the gross-out SPECIES II.
